  I always thought it was Gee-ah-nah, but then I had a roommate with this name and her family pronounced it John-a (it's the Itialian way of pronouncing it).

  The correct Italian pronunciation is Jah-nah.

  However, I notice that most Americans pronounce it Gee-ah-nah.

  I kind of blur the gee-ah-nah and john-a pronounciations together until I hear how that person says her name.

  I've heard it pronounced similarly to Giada on Food Network.  Kind of like Jyan-ah.  Half way between Jee-yan-ha and and Jahn-ah.
