well yesterday was day three of naps in cribs, and the first time it went really well. they slept an hour and 5 min in the morning, then an hour and a half in the afternoon (with a half hour nap at the grocery store in between). AWESOME. they had been doing 20-30 min naps. so i was THRILLED.
well, then comes last night, and my awesome sleeper, little M, who for the previous two nights slept 9 hours straight, was up at 9, 12, 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6:30 for the day.
do you think napping in the crib has confused him? and now he thinks of nighttime as just another naptime?? or is this just a coincidence and more likely due to teething (which i know he is dealing with but doesn't seem to have affected his sleep much until now)?
ughghghgh so frustrating
Re: apparently sleep does NOT beget sleep in this house. joining lucyP in sleep HELL
I think teething is 100% the cause of babies not sleeping well.
Conor has been awful lately. He cut 3 (yes 1,2,3) teeth this weekend! And I think another one is trying to break through. Plus he had his 9mo. check up yesterday and got a shot. Oh, and his latest trick is standing up in his crib. He thinks he's such a big boy now - all smiles when I come in and lay him down.
Last night I pulled out all the tricks: Tylenol, and Baby Orajel Overnight. He slept from 8-6:30. GL! This too will pass....
I would say teeth...
i think you guys are right re: teething.
i may try some tylenol if that starts to happen again tonight.
