? re: undigested food in diaper.

Ok - so there are pieces or carrots in DD's poop today. Sometimes i'l see a piece of raspbery, or a peel from a piece of plum that I must have missed. Any ideas why this happens? Does it mean she shouldn't eat this food?

  • It's totally normal.  Some things are just harder to digest than others...think about corn!

I'm sure if you inspected your own poop like you do your DD's there would be little pieces of undigested things also.  My rule of thumb is that, as long as she doesn't seem to be uncomfortable, she's safe to eat them.

  • Yep, that happens to D every once and awhile.  I did LOL the other day when I discovered a whole piece of green bean the other day.  Not only did he not digest it, but apparently he also swallowed it whole.  I'll be watching him a little closer when he eats beans now!
  • I think it's fine. ?We recently have C cut up blueberries. ?I found those pieces in his diaper the next day. ?He never chewed them, just swallowed the pieces whole. ?He didn't seem bothered by it.
  • LOL wait until raisins come out as grapes
