Has anyone bought glasses at 4 eyes?

I saw an ad on TV last ngiht for 2 complete pairs for 99 dollars- it's has to be too good to be true- or that all the frames are fug.

    There has to be a catch somewhere.  I have a $400 prescription.  There's no way I'd get my glasses for that price even without the frames.  Unless they have a back door relationship with their vendors.  if you know what i mean...

    Kitty- I have a back door relationship with NO ONE! :o)

    I have really bad eyes so I have no idea how they can offer deals like this- I may stop in and peep it for myself. I wear my glasses only as back up to my contacts anyway.

    From what I have heard and read in the fine print at places like Sears that offer the $99 glasses the lenses on those are plastic and worthless. I even had a person working at Eyemart Express tell me not to do the $99 deal because they were so cheaply made.

    Given how effed my eyes are, I'll stick with the same optician I've had for the last 15 years.
