Babies: 0 - 3 Months

It's 2:20am and I am crying...

..while pumping.  My son woke up at midnight and has been crying ever since.  I couldn't get him to stop so I started to cry as well.  I couldnt put him down because he cried even harder.  My husband finally woke up and took him so I could pump.  I hope this gets easier.  Crying

  • First six weeks are the hardest, then you will have some sort of routine and feel pretty much normal again!

  • Is he BFing? Or are you EPing?

  • It gets SO much easier, I promise.  I did nearly the same thing you did during the first week.  I couldn't get DD to stop crying one night and I myself burst into tears!  Hang in there!
  • I think it has happened to all of us. Hang in there and know that you are doing the best you can. Everyone says it gets better at 6 weeks. Im still waiting. ( i cried again yesterday)

the first time DS was crying because  a piece of plastic from his clothes (part of that thing that holds the tag) was poking him. thankfully DH thought too completey undress him in case his clothes was bothering him and sure enough... the things i try are feed him, change him, mylicon, undress him.

Ive also seen a lot of people recommend the "happiest baby on the block" book or dvd.

  • Thanks for the support everyone.  My husband was able to calm him down finally.  Let's hope tonight is a better night.
