Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

I am a teary mess lately

Yesterday I cried during story time while reading Panda goes to school to DS. Why? Because he is not allowed to grow up and go to school - won't he stay a baby forever? Yeah, it was cheeseball pathetic and DS gave me the side eye while DH laughed.

Tonight I cried while watching this: JK Wedding Dance

DH and I are going through some shiit right now, and I just wish we were newlyweds again with that confidence that everything was going to work out. How happy those people must be...

WTF IS WRONG WITH ME? People do not cry over bedtime stories and wedding videos. My period isn't due yet, and I better not be pregnant... Oh, God, more tears. Pray for my damn period to show up already so I can resume resembling a normal human being again.

Re: I am a teary mess lately

  • I've cried every single time I have watched that dance. They all went on the Today Show and performed the dance on there, I watched it live and cried then, too. I laugh and cry, it's really kinda ridiculous to see. Thank goodness, there is no one around to see me.

Sorry you guys are going through crap, I hope you are able to get back to where you were on your wedding day.

  • People cry over lots of things- especially when dealing with life's little issues.  I have cried a lot this year.  We are going through so many changes... I know it's all related to that and not necessarily that the commercial was really that sad or that the book was that touching.

DH and I both cried when we watched the wedding dance video when they were showing it all over TV.  Everyone wants to have that kind of joy in their lives.  Don't feel bad for crying.  Hope it gets better for you soon.

  • I've never seen that before, but I cried too!  I wish everyone could celebrate life like that, every moment of every day!  I'm on an emotional high right now, just from watching that.

I'm sorry you're going through a rough patch, marriage is hard sometimes.  I wish I could offer you advice, but I don't know that I really have any of relevance.

I bet your period does start soon, I don't know about everyone else, but I get like that when period is about to start.  It drives me crazy!!!  And yeah, do I feel silly when I can't even make it through a children's book without tears streaming down my face, but whatever, at least we're emotional creatures and can feel love and happiness, it just means we have to have the down times, too.

  • Okay, thank goodness I'm not the only person who cries over that wedding entrance! I couldn't even tell you why, it just hits me everytime I see it. I feel slightly less crazy now.

Oh, and I'm definitely NOT pregnant, if that makes you feel any better!
