Success after IF

Night 2 ... can't get Jack calmed down.

DH is in there now - and may have some success.  Oh are you KIDDING ME?  I can see him on the monitor putting Jack down nearly asleep.  Wait ... Jack may have other plans ...

If he gets the job done again - it'll be like he invented putting a baby down to sleep.  No matter than I've been doing it pretty much solo for 9 months.

Oh ... nope ... Jack's giving him a hard time.  ha ha!  Not so easy, is it DH??

When does the allure of a new trick wear off?  (Jack JUST started sitting up on his own last night.  Lots of that going on in his crib tonight too.  This kid was a dream at the beach last week - put him down awake in a pack-n-play, leave room, some chitter-chatter to himself and then - asleep.  Back home this week - nightmare.  Ugh!!!)

Wheee!

  • That stinks and I totally understand your frustration. Colin is a week or two younger than Jack and he began waking up in the middle of the night again last week. Every night, sometimes once, sometimes up to three times...just screaming. For Colin, it is teething, a nice big molar. I am not sure which is worse...teething pain or the fascination with a new trick. Silly babies. Hopefully we will both be getting sleep soon!

  • I hope your night gets better.  What is it with babies and the beach! My dd sleeps amazing when we are at the shore and actually sleeps throught the nights there.  We just got home from the beach today and she was a crazy woman tonight screaming her head off and would not go to sleep.  I finally managed to get her to sleep but I am sure she will wake up soon.  If we only all lived at the beach!

  • We have always had problems when returning from vacation and when hitting milestones.  Give it a few days...seems like forever when you are not getting sleep, but this too shall pass
