getting to know you - a survey of sorts

since i'm pretty new here, i'd love to start getting to know some of the people who are due around the same time. we'll all (more or less) move together through the tri boards and i want to make an effort to learn more about you hot mamas!
1. what would you like to be called on this board? (real name, screenname, version of screenname, etc)
2. anything noteworthy about this pregnancy or your journey here thus far?
3. something defining about yourself - good, bad or ugly
4. what one or two things/topics do you feel strongly about and foresee influencing your time spent on these boards?

2. I got pregnant right off the pill and I didn't expect it to happen so fast... YAY!

6. I try to be sweet and helpful. I am sarcastic in person a lot but also very understanding. Sometimes it's hard to understand sarcasm online.
1. this is an anonymous name for me. you can call me spastic, spasticfantastic or SF - i'm flexible
2. i had some minor fertility issues (mostly anovulatory, long cycles, non maturing PCOSish follicles) and was figuring i'd need meds to get pregnant. this pregnancy (our first!) was a wonderful surprise 4 days ago!
3. i was the one on GP who used a garlic clove to cure my yeast infection. i don't think i'll ever live it down
4. i am a mostly exclusive organic eater and try to live as naturally as possible. this will definitely trickle down into my parenting decisions.
5. i check every day, multiple times a day. i make posts and respond to them. i try to be a question answer-er but i'm not afraid to ask when i don't know as well.
6. i'm confident and i've been around long enough (despite what this new account would indicate) that i feel comfortable on national boards. i can be snarky but i try to balance it out with being helpful and encouraging too. i'm a posting smorgasbord, i suppose

2. anything noteworthy about this pregnancy or your journey here thus far? it took a looong time to get here. I am so thankful to be here.

4. what one or two things/topics do you feel strongly about and foresee influencing your time spent on these boards? NT scans just to have another u/s. That is not what they are for. Oh, and of course lunch meat.
5. how much time do you spend here? are you more of a lurker, responder or a thread starter? do you see yourself more as someone who asks or answers questions? Responder/thread starter/answerer.
6. how would you describe your board etiquette? are you confident and snarky? are you new and confused? are you sweet and helpful? are you just a straight up biitch? (ha!) I'd say a combo of a and c. Although some (you know who you are) would say I'm just plain d.
2. This is my second pg, I lost my first DD to Trisomy 18 in January.
3. I am the middle child, have always been told I am the "responsible" one or "mom" out of the 4 of us, yet I am the lsat to have a child.
4. Breastfeeding. It is something I am passionate about but would NEVER give someone a hard time if they decided against it.
5. I come here everyday but I post mostly on SAL and TTCAL. I dont think I start many posts here but I try to answer the ones that I can.
6. I try to be sweet and helpful. I tend to be somewhat sarcastic but I almost never mean for it to be bitchy.

1. Well, if I had a choice, my screenname would have been cecilia_jonze (my made-up alias). But instead, I got stuck with MFalor - Falor is my freakin maiden name. It was a default when I joined the Knot and when I moved over here, it followed me! So anyway, to answer your question, just call me MFalor.

3. Hmmm, I'm very private. I don't want to tell anyone I'm pg cuz it feels like too personal a thing to tell people. I know, a little extreme, but that's just me
4. Tough question. I like stuff like this. It's easy to write about myself, lol. I like polls and giving my opinion too. I don't think there's a certain topic I like best at this point, though.
5. It's only been a few days, but I'm already addicted. Right now, I'm just a Responder. I definitley answer more questions than ask. I'm a smarty-pants know-it-all
6. Hmm, just depends on my mood and the tone of the original thread. If it's a serious question, I'll have a serious answer. If it's a fun question, I'll probably have a humorous or twisted answer.

2. anything noteworthy about this pregnancy or your journey here thus far? I was diagnosed with PCOS this past April & thought it would take a lot longer to get pg. Ended up getting pg on our 1st cycle on clomid.
3. something defining about yourself - good, bad or ugly You can tell when I'm really tired because I rub my feet together right before I fall asleep. I don't think that's good, bad or ugly... but it's sorta defining I guess.
4. what one or two things/topics do you feel strongly about and foresee influencing your time spent on these boards? Breastfeeding - I feel passionate about giving it my best shot & encouraging other women. I would never judge another woman for FFing though.

I check in a few times/day... it really depends on how busy I am at work. I think I'm more of a responder, but I'll ask a question if I've got one.

As much as I can be snarky IRL, I haven't shown that side of me on this board yet. *yet* For some reason the snark flows more freely in person for me. But I try to be helpful when I can.

2. anything noteworthy about this pregnancy or your journey here thus far? Nothing as of yet. I was afraid that I would be someone who had trouble getting pregnant, and while I wasn't lucky enough to be a 1st try girl, it still happened within 8 cycles.

So I will be back to lurking / responding in the evenings.

I like to see a few responses before I post mine. I feel confident in my answers in my head, but I 2nd guess myself before I post. It may be the pregnancy hormones, but I find myself feeling more and more snarky especially with questions that are asked a bazillion times a day!
I'm from Irwin. I work downtown. How long since you lived in the burgh?
1. ourlove, OL, or sn...I pretty much answer to anything
2. I got pregnant after one cycle off the pill. DH and I figured it would be harder and take longer.
3. I am a: Special Education teacher, wife, daughter, sister, friend...not good/bad/ugly just how I define myself.
4. I feel strongly that everyone on here has their own opinions about things, and while I might not agree, it is not my place to tell anyone how it "should be done"
5. I teach during the school year so a lot less time then, a little during the day and on and off in the evening....in the summer or breaks I check several times a day. I am mostly a responder, I start threads sometimes.
6. I am a mix between a and c. I can be snarky ( I believe everyone should wear big girl panties on here!) but I also helpful because I have a lot of questions and I want/need answered and I want to be able to answer other peoples questions too!

3. something defining about yourself - good, bad or ugly I'm an emotional person even when not PG. But now, it's SOOO much worse. I'm a therapist (for a living) and i have no clue how I'm going to ever counsel people when I feel the way that I do today!
4. what one or two things/topics do you feel strongly about and foresee influencing your time spent on these boards? I have no idea....LOL. I definitely feel strongly about the mentally ill and how our society treats people with mental illness (I work with people with severe and persistent mental illness) I'm mostly a "bleeding heart" liberal in my views so that may color the way I respond on here.
