Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. Good luck on finding another doctor. His poor wife...it amazes me what goes on in people's private lives that you would never have a clue about.
OMG that's YOUR doctor? I'd be glad to know it, wouldn't want his hands on me.
would have never guessed it as sweet as he is. he asked me multiple times why i was still with MY husband with the way he was treating me... who knows?
from the small town gossip i heard today, she was using him for $$ and didn't want the divorce so she was making the shiit up. i am so disappointed that he will be gone.
I think your small town gossip is rediculous, it's not like she went to some random neighbor and cooked up some scheme to get back at her husband for wanting a divorce, she went to the Police Chief FFS. Seems pretty obvious that she had physical markings of the abuse.
I'm sorry that you feel abandoned and that this adds one more thing to your plate, I know you really appreciated the support that you got from your medical team while wrestling with the pregnancy. Hopefully his office can recommend someone great for you. Didn't you have a midwife you really like too?

I'm sorry.....my longtime GYN died when I was 6w with my 1st and I hated having to find a new doctor.
But, as it turns out, I found a place I LOVE. Not that I'm glad he died, but I am thrilled with my new doctor(s).
Just don't settle - especially being high risk. The place I went to initially was not the place for me. I knew it, deep down, but felt guilty over calling them after 1 appt and saying they were "fired". Thankfully, I got over it and found the place I am now.
Lots of doctors slap the high risk label on themselves....this woman didn't know what MTHFR was and was utterly unconcerned that my BP was 180/120. Ya...red flags all over the place.
Good luck finding another OB you like. Not an ideal situation, but you might find someone else you like just as much.
Oh man I'm soooo sorry. My SIL lives in Carlsbad and her doctor just delivered her last week. PM me if you need a refferal for that doctor. I know where I livedoc choices are very limited so if I can help please let me know.

that would suck to know your ob is capable of doing that to women especially the field he's in! but he may not get suspended from practicing - this sounds like its still pending. we have a lot of doctors with domestic violence and drunken driving charges that are still practicing without interruption. (not that you'd still want him)
I got pregnant with PCOS after many years of IF! Thank you Lord!

whoa!
wasn't there a reason you thought about switching before? was that you?
Domestic violence. He stopped her from calling the police after he hit her.
ETA: the article said he "beat" her. not just hit her like I said.
This.
What a fuckingloser.
i know right? for all we know, she could be lying about preventing the phone call & the threats, but...
i am really upset. i don't trust anyone else to be such a supportive dr. i get that he deserves a suspension, but i just feel lost right now.
does that make sense?
this
Dude, I am so sorry.
