How do you get in exercise at home?

I need to get more active but the heat has been unbearable and we haven't been able to go out for walks in about 2 weeks.  My DH doesn't get home early enough for me to go to the gym so I feel like I have to figure out something to do at home to get more active, especially inside...videos???

    The heat here is excessive during this time of year, so walks are out of the question for us, too.

    I only get in a 30min video if I know DS is going to sleep for an hour or more. I have Taebo, Crunchless Abs, and Biggest Loser Cardio. Wish we had some xtra money so I could get the Shred...

  • 30 day shred would be great! It's quick and you should be able to fit it in every day. I have a treadmill, so I am lucky to be able to jump on that, although I haven't much lately. I also do crunches, push ups, and squats every night before bed.
  • I am buying an elliptical from a friend and will have it next week.  I also have the 30 day shred on the way.  I have a few other videos I need to dust off.  I do take my LO to the gym with me sometimes as well for now.
  • I walk outside but when I am at home with LO all day I try to do exercises on my yoga ball, dance around while holding LO, doing light weights while LO is in the wrap or napping, do housework, etc.

  • I am in PA too so we are also dealing with the heat.  After work and once the babies are fed, I try to do the 30 day shred.  I put the babies in their vibrating chairs and do it in front of them - I think they think I am crazy b/c I do it very animated (i.e. clapping and talking to them the whole time)  They just stare at me and laugh.

    to the pp saying you wanted to buy the shred dvd: we have it free from our cable provider "On Demand" - is that an option for you?

  • I sweat my as$ outside in the Virginia heat/humidity.  1 mile and a half a few days a week.  Plus BFing-that's all I do for now because I had a c-section and can't work out until 8 weeks.
  • I do Jillian Michaels online - similar to 30DS but linger and a bit harder. As soon as DD goes down for her first nap I work out. I also do some videos and try to get walks in.
