  Hay-lee.  I think the first "y" in Hayley looks kind of silly, frankly--I hate the whole "add a 'y' in random places" craze.  I've been saying hay-ley and hail-ee to myself for about a minute now and they're starting to sound more identical the faster I say it.  I think you're probably going to get a little of both no matter how you spell it.

  Maybe it's just me, but Hail e and Hay lee sound exactly the same.  They both have the long A sound followed by a long E sound.  I'd spell is Hailey.

  I think it's hay-lee but don't even hear a difference. I really don't think the spelling will influence the way people say it. Those that say hail-ee will likely do it anyway. I like Haley over Hailey...but also like the Hayley spelling too (if you like y's go ahead and use them!)

  My daughter's name is Hailey and no one has problems pronouncing it Hay-lee.

  A co-worker spelled her daugher's name Haley and it gets pronounced Hal-e.

  I too prefer Hay-lee, so I'd go w/ Hayley. I don't like the Hail-ee pronunciation. It reminds me of hail.

  My name is Haley.

  I have seen these spellings in which I do not like: Hayle, Haleigh, Hailey, Haylee.

  I just prefer the simple Haley.

  Ok, Haley was my maiden name.  It is pronounced Hay-lee and I personally think that anyone with half a brain would also say it that way.  The only other way I'd think to pronounce it is Halle - like Halle berry and I'd only pronounce it that way if it were spelled that way - Halle.
