Im looking into grad school for my Masters in Education-just wondering, has anyone done a completely online program(other than the student teaching) and if so where?
I am currently doing an online program to get my Bachelors in Business Communication. So far so good. I am half way done and there haven't been any issues. The nice thing is they put you in the required classes for you, so there is no waiting or fighting for classes. All the books are downloads, so you save money all the way around. I am going to University of Phoenix. I take 1 class at a time for a 5 week period. It's a bunch of info to take in all at once, but much better for me than going to an actual campus. I'll be done much faster this way.
I used to work for University of Phoenix and I am pretty sure that they have a Masters of Education (I worked in the Associates Degree program, so I am not positive)
The one thing I would suggest to anyone doing an online degree is that it takes a lot of self motivation. You have to be able to push yourself because there aren't professors and other local students to be accountable to. As long as you can do that you can be successful in whatever program you choose.
I'll be starting the online masters of arts in ed/early childhood program through the University of Phoenix in September. They also offer a masters in instruction and curric. as well as adminsitration. I hear it's a lot of work, but it's only 1 class every 6 weeks....
