I'm not sure when steps are officially considered walking, but DS took about 10 steps in a row today. I really wish he'd slow down a bit. People tell me he'll be running before I know it.
That counts! Wow, he's an early walker!!! I've heard when they start younger that they are a little more fearless...so he might get the hang of it pretty quick! I think the time b/t Noah's first solo steps and "full-on" walking was fairly short...he took his first steps the day before Father's Day and 2 days after he turned one (July 17) he was "full-on" walking...so just about a month. And within the past couple of weeks he has definitely quickened his pace and has started to try to run. And b/c your DS is younger, he'll probably be "walking" in no time (not to scare you)
Good luck! I actually really enjoy Noah's ability to walk...he's a little more independent now...but still needs us, of course! It's just so awesome to watch them develop and achieve all these milestones...I love seeing how excited he gets when he accomplishes something! Yeah, it definitely wears me out, but I still think it's just awesome...but Noah was a little older than your DS so I was probably a little more prepared to "lose my baby," so to speak, and gain a toddler!
mland - He's definitely fearless. My mom says he was born in 4 wheel drive. He crawls, climbs and now walks over everything in his path. Last week my husband caught him standing on the seat of his walk/push toy.

Thanks, everyone.
