For those who's DH does not go to Dr appointments with them

Will he come to the ones towards the end of your trimester? My DH came to all the appointments where we had u/s, but he hasn't been going to the regular check-ups. I have noticed however that when I go to my doctor's appointments the women who look like they could have the baby any day now seem to have their husbands with them.

If your husband start coming to your appointments towards the end, what week do you plan on having them start coming?

My dh went to my very first appt & the ultrasounds that I had. I dont see him coming to any other appointments.

My FI comes to the ones he can due to his work schedule. But he wants to be there at the internal exams... and I swear he always has more questions for the Dr. than I do! It's always nice having him there with me.

no. DH has only gone to two appts this pregnancy: my first and the big u/s

appts these days are fairly boring IMO (blood pressure, weight, heartbeat, done)

DH does the same has yours. He only goes to the ones that have ultrasound. He wont be going to any of my last ones either.

With my first child, DH came to every single appt. This time around, he only came to the ultrasounds. He probably wont come to anymore either.

Depends. ?I think I started to have weekly appointments around 35 weeks when I was pregnant with Layla.. DH went to my 38 week appt and that was the one where they decided to induce me, so I was glad he was there. ?

I was a little shocked and not expecting to have any of that happen!

We'll probably do something similar this time. ?He probably won't start going until late, 38 weeks or so. My Mom went to my weekly appointments with me, so I didn't have to go alone. That will probably happen again. ?

DH only came to the U/S appts...I don't plan on him coming to any others. My appts. are usually pretty quick and he works about 45 mins away, so I hate to pull him from work. He always knows when they are, so he can come if he wants...

our schedules are slightly conflicting and my drs office is right around the corner from my job so it has been easy for me to just have the apts at lunch time vs waiting to go all the way home to come all the way back out to the drs...

I may schedule one towards the very end for a night visit - he can come if possible ... maybe if i get my internal that way he can hear for himself the progress if any

I don't see him coming with me due to his work schedule. I think it's silly for him to miss work just to see me get weighed and measured every month. I don't see him coming for the last few appointments either. He'll be there when it counts and that's all that matters to me!

DH has gone to all the ultrasound appointments. I've had about 8-9 ultrasounds. He does not come to the check-ups though b/c they are usually very quick and not very informative IMO. I let him know when I want him to be there though and he will come if I ask.

DH only went to U/S appts with me. Yesterdays appt was also an U/S and then I had an internal, and I have never seen DH look so uncomfortable! Hopefully we won't be having too many more appts, but he will not be attending them with me.

DH has went out of his way to come to one or two of my ultrasounds, and one appointment where I was having an NST because of a lack of movement.

He's going out of his way to come to my appointment tomorrow (last one!) where I will have a BPP, a growth scan, and will be checked for progress. Otherwise, we didn't feel a need for him to take off work for routine appointments/ultrasounds.

Unless there are complications or discussion of induction/c-section (which would be very rare with my midwives), he will not come to any of the remaining appointments.

No, he won't. Those appointments are pretty routine with the addition of an internal exam.

My DH went to 3 of my appointments with me... 10w (I had been spotting around 8w and was totally nervous), big u/s at 21w, and my 39w visit.

My DH went to my 10 wk ultrasound, my 20 wk ultrasound, and I think one prenatal appointment in the 1st trimester. He can't take off work for the appointments. I just call him when I get done and tell him how it went.

DH only goes if his work schedule allows for it, in other words, if the weather is crappy and he can't work since he works outdoors. We decided it was best for him to save vacation time for when the babies arrive and work all he can now.

He'll come periodically - he went last week so we could talk to the dr about post partum depression and my history of depression in general, a few appointments before that because he had a couple of questions about delivery stuff. But it really is hard for him because of his work schedule.

Nope, I dont want him to waste his vacation days/hours. If he is needed he can be there w/in 5 minutes...thats good enough for me.

Thank you. That's what I figured most would say. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious that he should be there for. Unless there are some complications towards the end, I don't see the point of him coming.

My DH doesn't come to regular check ups, he only comes to the ultrasound appointments. He won't be coming to any of my appointments towards the end either. It's too much time for him to take off work, and it's not necessary for him to be there anyway.

Mine doesn't come to the apps with me. He says if I need him to come for anything just to call him and he will get there asap but there is no need for him to be there while I am being poked and proded (sp?)

DH came to the important earlier ones as well as the big u/s. The next appointment he comes to will be around 36 weeks to discuss the birthplan.

Seriously, most routine appointments are boring and last all of 10-12 minutes long -- 3 minutes of that is me peeing in a cup! There's no point in him coming to the ones where I'm being measured and hearing the heartbeat again (as much as we love the sound).

My husband came to the first two appointments, the NT scan, the anatomy scan, and the appointment where they GD test. If he's able to, I'd like him to come with me when I start going weekly.

When I was pregnant with DD my DH was able to come to the 1st appt, ultrasound and 1 at the end. He was be able to come a little more lately just because it has happened to be a rainy day and he doesn't have to go into work. He's a landscaper. He's been able to come to my last few with me because he is home with a injured knee other wise he wouldn't come. My appointments are always pretty quick. Plus I have to convience that my OB works in the same building as me so I just go up on my lunch, have my appt and be done.

Mine hasn't been to anything except the 20 week ultrasound and I don't see a reason for him to come to any of my appointments.
