Irresponsible people piss me off!!

I was on my way to my mom's house (just got here) when I saw this family drop their two small dogs off on the side of the road at the FREEWAY UNDERPASS!!!! I made a u-turn as quickly as I could, hoping I could have them just put both dogs in my car and I could have dropped them off at a safe shelter, but I didn't make it. I proceeded to pull over (as did another guy in a truck ahead of me) and we both tried to get the dogs to safety, but they ran to the other side of the road and up an alley. I went down the alley and tried to get them both to come to me with dog food (my dog never finishes her food and I happened to have her with me). One of them came near enough to eat, but got skittish whenever I moved my hands at all. The other just watched from a distance. I couldn't catch them and they ran off again (this time after a guy on a bike). I went to my parents (which was only another couple of minutes up the street) to drop off Sasha, grab more food and try to find them again, but I didn't see them when I drove back through the area. I hope they're okay. I know they will stick together, but I hope they get to someplace safe (like a good new home or a no-kill shelter) The thing that baffles me is the geniuses left the tags on one dog, so they will probably get caught (I hope) and fined. This kind of irresponsible behavior just makes me so mad!! There are lots of places they could have left the dogs besides a dangerous, heavily traffic-filled underpass intersection!! I just needed to vent guys, thanks.

I will not lie, I got a little teary-eyed. That is SOOOOOO sad and that pisses me off too! I hate negligence like that. Seriously...

That's a blood boiler! I hope there is a special torture in wait for people like that who are so ragingly blind to the needs of animals. What do they think chihuahua mixes are going to do in an underpass? HUNT?!!
Bless you for trying so hard to save the little guys. Here's hoping someone equally kindhearted finds them, and gets another shot at saving them.

Our dealership is on a country road and people are ALWAYS leaving their unwanted pets near us. There is no animal control up there so if we try to take them into the shelter, we have to PAY to drop them off! You're right, people suck!
