(Anyone from the nest board who checks these posts, pipe in!)
We succeeded in getting the nest board moving again, and I think it would be nice to get this one moving more too. It is less dead than the nest one was, so I think it can be done ![]()
If you are interested, post a little blurb about yourself, and your current baby situation!
Re: Are there people here who are interested in getting the board moving?
I'm jCam, I'm 25, and will be celebrating my 2 year anniversary in a few weeks. DH and I hope to start trying then! He was laid off in June, so we were hoping for him to get a new job before starting to ttc, and I am still holding out hope for that.
If he still doesn't have one, we aren't decided on what we will do yet. We really want to start in September, so that is battling with what most would say is common sense to wait until he has a job. I feel like since I probably won't get pregnant right away, we might as well just ditch the condoms and see what happens.
Oh and I've been charting since February, but we have a rule that I won't tell him when I ovulate.
Hi!
I'm fairly new to bump/nest. I'm 30 and DH and I got married in Nov. 08. We just started TTC last month. I am currently learning how to chart, lurking and reading TCOYF. DH thinks we should throw charting etc to the wind and "let it happen naturally". I hate when he says that. I'm going to bring him to my next OB appointment and have her talk some sense into him.
It would be great to get this board moving! Thanks jCam!
Yes, definitely!
I'm new to bump/nest. My husband and I were married in January and got pregnant in March. We are due to have a boy in December and can't wait!
If we can get this board going, I'd love to chat and get some advice from you ladies.
Hi there
My husband and I were married in June '04 and have 2 daughters. Avery is 3, Allison is 18 months.
I'm 28 weeks pregnant with our third daughter, due in Nov. I love every part of being a mom!
I'd love to see more action over here!
I am a Knot old-timer from 2004. Got married in September 2005 (celebrating our 4-year anniversary in about a month), spent 2 years on TTTC, and am so happy to finally be here!!
We are cautiously expecting twins in March, and although I also visit the 1st trimester board, I'd love to talk with other Boston area moms and moms-to-be about local resources (doctors, etc.). We live in Boston proper and are delivering at BWH.
Nice to meet you all!
Congrats! Judging from your siggy, it has been a long road to get there. Lots of healthy twins dust for you
Congratulations!! Here's to a H&H 9 months!
Hi there,
Nice to hear about all of you!
My husband and I have been married for 2 years. Our daughter is 5 months old. She is the love of my life!
I look forward to posting and reading your posts!!!
(I am not on the boards too much)
Are you finding out what you're having? If so, be sure to let us know!
Would love to get this board more active!
I've been married now for 3 years and have an 11 month old son. I absolutely love being a mom, my son is my life!
Congratulations to you all!!!!
I'd love to see this board more active, too! I'm on the 3rd tri board almost daily, but check here less regularly. After 20 mo of trying we are expecting our first in November. DH and I have been married for 7 years and live in Metrowest, but both work downtown.
Anybody else on here plan on being a working mom?
Pretty sure I'll be working part time. Some days from home though. So I'll sort of be half SAHM, half working mom haha.
I get 2 months maternity leave and then I'll go back to work. We live north of the city and I work in Boston and my husband works in Framingham. Should be interesting, but I'm preparing myself now for it. What are you doing for day care?
I plan on working, but maybe cutting down my hours if employer will allow it. DH is a partner in a small business and is hoping that he can work 3pm-12, so we won't have to worry about daycar. I wonder how that will actually work for us. My mom is also pretty much retired and she has offered b to help out they live in VT and I really don't want her to become a live-in.
That would be great if you could work that out and cut down hours. Day care around here is so expensive!! We're looking to move further North to the North Shore where our families live. If we do, my MIL and sister have offered to take the baby. However, we'd have to sell the condo we live in now for that to happen - not likely in this economy!
Hi everyone,
I'm actually from New Hampshire. I'm 27 and my DH and I are expecting our first 1/6/10. The big ultrasound is tomorrow
i've also been here since my days at the knott.
Congrats! I take it the NH board is slow as well?
Thank you! I do have to agree
I would love this board to be more active! I have an 18 month old and I am TTC now!
Hey everyone,
I'm very excited about a more active local board too. I've been on and off since the knot days but will be more active with a more active board.
Me and DH live in Worcester and work in the Metrowest (Hudsone and Leominster) and are expecting our first (after a loss this summer) in less than 2 weeks!! Ack I can't believe how soon it is! Oh and it's a boy (that's what they told us anyways and I'm hoping it doesn't change
)
Congratulations!! Be sure to let us know when he arrives! I hope you have a smooth and wonderful delivery! BTW - my ILs live in Leominster and we are there frequently. I also lived in Worcester for 6 years. We are now in Waltham and I work in Watertown and DH works in Maynard.
I would love to see this noard more active too. I spend most of my time on the 6-12 board.
Anyway, Hi! I have an 8 month old daughter who is the greatest little girl in the world. I'm also a stay at home mom in the central mass area.
Hi I'm not on much but I'd love to find some mommy groups in the area (I live outside of the worcester/leominster area)
DH and I got married last Nov. and unexpectedly got pregnant in Jan. our little girl is due Oct. 4th and we're soo excited to meet her!
