Moby or Baby K'tan wrap

I'm torn on which on of these to get. The only reason I am hesitant to get the moby wrap is because I am worried about it not being that easy to get used to wrapping around me. If you ladies have any advice it would be great. Thanks!

Re: Moby or Baby K'tan wrap

  • I find that the Moby is better than the K'Tan. I have both. You have more control over the Moby, because it's not sized and you can tie it tightly. The K'Tan stretches a LOT while I wear it. If you're going to buy the K'Tan, get it one size smaller.........

  • I agree, Moby over K'tan.  It takes a little getting used to, but so much more versatile.  Like pp, I also had trouble getting the K'tan sized correctly - I'm pretty sure that I'm right between their XS and S, and neither fit quite right.

My DH does prefer the K'tan, though - easier for him to figure out, plus the S size seemed to fit correctly for him.

  • Thanks for the advice. Looking at the both of them more I am thinking the moby would work better. I like that it wraps around your lower back which is where I felt I needed the support when I used other carriers with DD.
  • I love my Moby.  I don't have a Baby K'tan, so i can't comment on that, but really the Moby was great and never hurt my back.  I can still use it with DS1 now, but he is really too squirmy to be happy in it.  The only thing I didn't like was, living in FL during the summer it was kind of hot if I was wearing it outside for a long time and putting it on in public I hated having the ends on the ground in parking lots and such.  I will def be using it again this time though and probably getting a ring sling too.
