Struggling for a boy name - what are your thoughts on these...?

Gavin (does it sound too much like Kevin or non-masculine?)

Xavier (too "x" - y?)

Jude (association with betrayal of judas?

Elijah (to 'proper?)

maybe i'm being too picky. Appreciate some feedback. THanks.

Gavin is on our list, and IMHO is much more masculine than Kevin.

I like Jude, like "Hey Jude..." I don't care much for the other 2.

It sounds like you don't love any of these- with the comments after each one. I like Gavin and Jude the best from your list and don't associate Jude with Judas. If you don't love them, keep trying.

I love Elijah of course and Xavier is on my list. I really like Gavin and don't think it's non-masculine at all. I don't like Jude.

Jude-no, I associate it with the book in the New Testament before Revelation and really like the name

I really like Elijah and Gavin...not the way you decribed them- good solid boy names! Xavier is okay...though Jude is NMS at all (dunno why!) None of them are overly popular but nice and masculine w/out being bizarre or trendy.
