Explain something to me about Ferber

Did your LO cry before you Ferberized?

DS doesn't cry when I put him in the crib now (he's 4.5 months). He "sings" himself to sleep and I sometimes have to pat his back.  He STTN.

Is this something that will change as he gets older?  Will be most likely cry later? Is Ferberizing in our future?

    Shane used to do that.  We have to rock him to sleep now.  I'm praying for no ferberizing.

    DD was the best sleeper until 4 months. Then everything went downhill. Then finally what pushed us to ferber is the fact that we had to rock dd asleep but then we couldn't put her down w/o her screaming and waking up. And we co-slept but she was getting up 5-6 times a night. So it's possible that your LO will continue their sleep habits but it could also change.

    They change all the time.  Just when you think you've figured the sleep thing out, they change it up on you again.  And I don't care what anyone else says-teething messed up my kids' sleep.

    I did the Ferber thing with both of my girls.
