my baby has such dry skin

There was lots of flakes in DS's hair and I noticed his scalp is so dry. Its pink and raw where the skin is peeling :( Also on his face between his eyes is really dry. I use j&j shampoo and lotion (but nothing on his face) Any advice?

    Aquaphor (?) We use it for DDs skin condition and its worked great so far. Its only like $6 or so for a tube at Target.

    We had a similar problem with DD. I bought this AMAZING lotion that was a bit pricey, but worth every penny. It is by a company called mustela.     Aquaphor!! I used it for DS's eczema and cradle cap...Cleared in just a few days.

    sounds like cradle cap.  J&J was too harsh, so I switched to Dove body wash and Curel lotion.  Worked great!

    Do you mean the ointment one that is the consistency of vaseline? I have one its Aquaphor baby I use it on his bum & love it, do you just put that on his face? DS has super dry flaky skin as well on his forehead.

    I use J & J baby oil gel with aloe vera on DS's dry skin, and it helps a ton!

    California Baby Calendula Cream (I bought it at Target). Worked great for DD's baby acne and now for any dry patches. She loves when I put the cream on her face, and it smells great too! I also rub some in her hair (cradle cap) about 15 minutes before bathtime, then gently scrub the scales loose with a soft brush or very fine tooth comb, then wash her hair with Aveeno Baby. Has worked well so far.
