Did anyone else suffer from pregnancy headaches? I'm getting them almost daily. I have a prescription for Fioricet from my OB (which I'd prefer not to use) and a neurology appt scheduled for next week, but I'm wondering if anyone tried any alternative treatments - specifically, chiropractics or massage therapy? If you did, did either of them help you?

Re: Pregnancy headaches
this. mine was (and still is) a lifesaver!
I had daily headahces and weekly migraines through my first trimester. It was horrible. I've suffered from migraines since 5th grade, so I was somewhat used to them, and have learned to just live with them. I'm not one to take meds. On my migraine days, I would take Tylenol, lay in a dark room with a ice pack and nap until it was gone. For headaches, I pretty much just dealt with it.
I should note, I've heard great things about chiropractors, but have always decided against it because it seems to be addicting, and I couldn't afford to take that on (co-pays and whatnot).
Were you a caffine persion pre-pregnancy? Did you give it up? I get bad caffine withdrawl headaches, so I *had* to have 1 or two diet dew's a day, and that often helped keep the headaches away.
Good luck! It's NO FUN!
I had a cup of coffee a day pre-pg and I still have my one cup a day, so I don't think it's caffeine related.
I'm also a headache prone person, pg or not. I miss my Aleve and Excedrin Migraine! Tylenol doesn't do much for migraines, although they sometimes work for regular headaches.
This. I got daily headaches when I was about as far along as you are. I think they went away by ~18 or 20 weeks. I found that drinking about 5 times more water than I thought I needed helped wonders. I kept two glasses by the bed and would drain them twice over night; I got up to pee a lot but it helped. I avoided meds, but that was mostly just my preference.

I get them too! Ugh.
The things that work for me are
1. Getting a new, utilitarian, wide-band support bra.
2. Tiger balm. It's a natural product with menthol and camphor oils and does WONDERS for sore anything! Wrists, neck, shoulders, back...the smell was the only thing that took away the nausea during the first trimester when I had awful "morning" sickness, too!
3. Getting enough sleep. If I get even a half hour too little sleep I'll have a headache within a day or two.
Hope your head is doing better!
