3rd Trimester

why oh why were we soo eager...

to join the 3rd tri board so early?!

lol... I remember moving up to 2nd, and 3rd tri earlier than I should have because of all the drama, but seriously? its so long..lol..

sorry to all you newbies today, this is the worst trimester of your lives, but I guess the good thing is we all commisserate very well with each other.

(unfortunately, lurking on the 0-6 is much more depressing than lurking on the tri-boards...)

p.s. whatever happened to newbies joining a new tri board and bringing us treats??? I need food pictures dammit! lol...

Re: why oh why were we soo eager...

  • One newbie yesterday did bring doughnuts, which looked delish and caused me to have to buy one at the store.

  • There are definitely miserable days (and I know I'm not as far along as the OP), but I still think first Tri sucked way more.  I hated having to take medication to keep from throwing up dinner.... but still feeling like I'm going to throw up.

  • I still have about 6 weeks (ticker is wrong) but so far, I have really enjoyed the 3rd trimester. I might feel differently in 3-4 weeks down the road but other than moving slower, breathing heavier, and starting to get a little uncomfortable....I have no complaints! However, I can imagine being almst 42 weeks pg either :) good luck to you!
  • LOL, I came a little early from 2nd.. I was soooo tired of seeing "was this owt true for you?"?

or "chinese gender predictor .. accurate?"

I've done this all before.. and I was more excited to be in 3rd tri again. ?I know it seems like it takes the longest, but I liked it the best.

Exactly this! Oh, evhamm, you have a very stubborn baby. How on earth are you doing?? I mean, I've not even gone past due yet and I am slowly losing my mind...I hope your LO comes very soon!!

  • LOL I thought 27 weeks was the start of 3rd tri or 28 weeks depending on the source....right?

Anyhow yes like pp I was just a little tired of the same questions from 2nd tri board and I am sure at the end of 3rd tri it will feel that way too.  First tri really sucked for me so I am hoping this one is not as bad as that!

Sorry you are overdue--I am sure that is very frustrating!  Hopefully your LO will come very soon.  Good luck!

I agree with this! The wait is painfully long, but 1st tri was much worse for me!

  • You think this is the worst trimester?  I think first tri takes the cake by far!  At least now I can feel my baby moving inside me, regardless of how hot/achey/uncomfortable I feel.  In first tri all I did was puke and feel tired and I didn't even get to feel the baby then.

  • I feel like time is dragging, but that's my only real complaint so far about the 3rd trimester.

1st trimester (actually up until 20 weeks) which included throwing up 7 times a day takes the cake for the worst trimester.

  • I agree - this trimester is crawling by.  I do appreciate being able to feel the baby more and doing fun things like the baby shower and getting the nursery ready... but I've had so many more physical issues this trimester.  I'm definitely ready to stop working, I'm hoping once I stop then I'll feel a bit better.

  • I agree this is the worst tri.  I'm still sick every day but now I can't do much becasue I'm huge and hot.  At least in first tri you didn't have to deal with back aches and contractions that lead nowhere.

  • I'm voting 1st tri as the worst- morning sickness, fatigue and worry about miscarrying and having to start all over again!

    definitely this!

  • I disagree wholeheartedly with OP.  This tri has been great.  Yes, uncomfortable.  But it's been awesome to see ladies go one-by-one, I think it makes the time here go faster.  It's been awesome to reach 34 weeks and realize you're pretty much in the clear should something happen.  And to reach 37 weeks and realize your life can change at any moment.  This is the trimester of finishing the nursery (do it early ladies!) and the baby shower (or showers).  Of definitely showing and having strangers congratulate you.  I don't know, this has been a great trimester.  I'm uncomfortable, but I could definitely be a lot more uncomfortable.  And I probably will be in the next few weeks.  But it's also your last chance to savor time with your hubby.  To savor alone time.  To savor sleeping in.  Enjoy it all....
  • The first tri was horrible because I felt miserable all the time, but it went by so fast.  The second seemed to go by fast too.  I'm only 34 weeks and already feel like the 3rd tri is dragging on and on and I have over a month to go.  I can't imagine what it will feel like when I'm actually at the end of the third tri.
