Re: Nbr- Chicago Food
I live about 90 miles out, but we often go to the Grand Luxe Cafe, it's right on Michigan Ave overlooking everything, and the food is SO good!
For pizza, I would suggest Uno's or Gino's East. I think ALL pizza is pretty good though, so it's not hard to please me!
We are also big fans of Flat Top Grille or Big Bowl - because you get to eat until you are ready to burst.
All of those places are within walking distance of all the downtown shopping. Wear some comfy shoes!
Have fun!
I could have written this word for word. Lou's is definitely the best deep dish. Portillo's is a Chicago MUST. Gibson's is amazing and worth every penny.
Uno's as in the chain of pizza joints?
I think all the ones in bold are chains. Nothing too special IMO.
There is a restuarant named Harry Cary's???
Cubs -- This seals the deal, I am coming to Chi-town.
CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
Um what? I was not reason enough alone to come?
Yes. Harry Carry's has good food too. Its a fun place. I love Harry.
Lou's is the way to go!! It is beyond awesome. If you want something really special, you can head to one of Rick Bayliss's restaurants (mexican) he is on Top Chef Masters and has a bunch of different restaurants with different price points. Portillo's is a major yum too, but I'm not sure it is a *must*.
