Visiting NW burbs with 1 yr. old - help please

We're visiting grandma and grandpa for the first time. Can you tell me of some fun activities in the NW burbs for a 1 yr. old. ?Is there a place to take DS that has baby wading pools? ?Any advice for what we can do as a family would be great. ?Thanks!

  • when / where are coming?  Buffalo Grove has a very nice spray park that would be good for a 1 year old.  Arlington Heights has several nice community pools (I am sure the suburb your parents are in would have some too.  Of course, Millenium Park has the fountain that would be a fun family outing, but since it is in the city, it would be a a bigger outing.  Palatine has a nice lake area called twin lakes that has a walking path, paddle boats, a playground and an area to either buy lunch or picnic

  • The Spray and Play in Buffalo Grove is very nice. ?12 months and under is free and everyone else is $3.00. ?For an indoor activity, you could go to the Kohl's Children's Museum in Glenview.
