I still love Oliver but DH will never go for it. I've got a list of names (see link) but I still don't love any of those names. I have a reason not to like all of them--Charlie is getting to be a girl's name, Liam is getting trendy, etc., etc.
DH insists on no H names because that's the first letter of our last name.
So, here are a few more names. Give me some thoughts, please, or suggest some more:
Declan
Duncan
Xavier
Tarquin
Archer
Davis
Ewan
Paul
Finian
Tate
Thanks!
Also--if you knew Wheeler were my maiden name, would you like that? It's on my original list, and I like it in theory but in some ways can't imagine a kid having my maiden name as his first name.
Re: I still don't like any boy's name that much!
I like most of the names that you have posted here. DH and I talk about the name Wheeler as a middle name sometime (It's a small town that has significance to him). Not sure what I think of it as a first name.
it's called a kilt, he's scottish
I love Oliver too, but one of my best friends "claimed" it (it was her boy name, but they had a girl) so I feel like it's off limits.
To answer your question, I like Davis, Finian, and Tate. ?Archer is okay, Declan is all right (makes me think of Reese Witherspoon and it would bug me if people thought I copied a celeb). ?Really don't like Tarquin or Ewan- they sound like superheroes.
LOVE Wheeler as a middle name. ?I love names with meaning (DS's name is my grandma's maiden name) but Wheeler doesn't have a great 1st name ring to it, imo.?

Same for me, not a fan of any others.
Actually, Reese Witherspoon's son's name is Deacon, not Declan.
I seriously LOVE wheeler. It's one of my top 3 names. My other favorties are Fisher and Sutton.
I like Declan, FInian and Tate.
Out of your list, my favorites are Duncan and Paul.
Here are some others that I think have that unique, handsome quality (like Colin James):
Anderson (Anderson Wheeler, Paul Anderson, or Anderson Paul), William (Will) , Beckett, Dean, Everett, Grant, Barrett, Miles, Rowan, Thomas, Callahan/Callaghan (possibly nn Cal), Robert
I like those 2 the best as well
Okay, so never mind then- I do like Declan! ?:) ?My bad.?
