Already the comments have started! I mainly feel badly for DH because they are mostly coming from his side of the family/friends- but seriously, we wanted 2 children, we got 2 healthy, gorgeous girls, (I am biased, I know!!) so why the comments!? Sorry, I guess it's just a mini vent! Good morning everyone!! : )
Re: Guess you're gonna try again for a boy huh?!
Oh, for goodness' sake.
Your girls are gorgeous.

People are asshats!
clearly I'm stopping with the two because I had one of each *perfect family*!
*please note sarcasm. we were done with 2 regardless!
Typical. Some people are never happy unless they're dictating others' lives.
If you and your hawtie of a DH are happy with two CHILDREN, don't worry what others think. Two girls are awesome!!
Hope you're you doing well.
Thanks Goose- we are doing great! But more importantly- how are YOU feeling?! You are getting close!!
Yea, I think if someone says this to me, I'm going to punch them in the throat. ?
I will never understand why people think 2 (or 3, or 4...) of the same gender child is not a "perfect" family.?
Good morning! Your girls ARE gorgeous!
And I seriously can't tell you how many times (more than 10, no exaggeration) strangers have asked me if I have two boys or two girls at home when they find out I'm pg with #3. The implication is that I would only have 3 kids if I was trying for a different gender. It's very irritating.
This. except 3 is perfect for us...boy or girl, it doesn't matter
Seriously, having two girls is my dream family...it is what I always hoped for and pictured when I was growing up. My husband even was hoping for a second girl himself.
When someone makes a comment to me I just say, "Two sisters are a gift from God, it is one of the best relationships someone can have." No one says anything after that.
I will add the disclaimer that this is the perfect family for us. I know for other people having a different number of children, combination of genders and age seperation is what works for them and I think that is great and I am happy for them.
Isn't it awful?!?! You do have two gorgeous little girls. And I'm sure you and your husband are thrilled. People just don't think.
We've been getting it since the minute we announced we were having a girl with DD#2 when I was still PG with her. The ILs say they expect us to have a "Rxxx Boy". We have a very very common last name so it's not like it's going to die out with DH. And the comments I get with this PG... Honestly, I'm hoping for another girl, but I don't feel that strongly.
I hate comments like that. We always get, "awww..now you have the perfect family. One of each." Ummm...we have the perfect family because we are healthy and happy. Not a boy and girl.
Sorry, vt=(
I hate that comment. My mom makes it as I needed a reminder that my brother really was the favorite kid...
We have 2 DDs and are debating TTC#3. We'd have to be excited for both genders but I do think it'd be so neat to experience being a boy mom. This desire only came after DD2 was 6 months old though....

We get this all the time too, and it bugs the crap out of me.
I know how you feel. Everyone asks us if my DH is upset we have only girls (huh?! why!?) and when is the boy coming!?
We tell them we are blessed and we are done. Two and through!
And then we get "oh you never know" and "everyone always says that."
No really-I had a tubal. They are going to be disappointed. LOL.
Congrats! She's a doll!
And, I get that comment/question all the time. Having two girls, people just assume that I must want to try again for a boy. I guess I'd just have to give her up if I had another girl then, right?!
I'm with you-we wanted two kids, and have two kids. End of story.
