carrier for dad?

Can someone recommend an easy to use carrier for dads? I have a moby but he says he'd never wear it - too much fabric, too complicated. He said he'd be interested in a more simple sling. Any suggestions?

  • I just took some pictures yesterday of DH using our Ergo.  He loves it (I do, too).  You can wear it on the front or back.  It's super comfortable and good for hip development, since the baby is in a sitting position.  It can be used from newborn (with infant insert) to 40 lbs.  If you have a local baby boutique, they should have some for you both to try on.

  • My DH uses a Peanut Shell sling -- I bought it for me but he was the first to put it on and use it.  DD loves it.  Unfortunately it's a red floral print so I've yet to convince DH to wear it out of the house.

  • I second the Ergo recommendation.  My DH loves using it, and it's so much more ergonomic (for baby AND parent) than many of the other brands.
  • thanks!  **googling and shopping...googling and shopping**   :-)
  • DH will wear an ergo or a beco butterfly II. Both are somewhat versatile as far as being worn on the front or back which is nice.
