Feeling guilty!

So DH and I are suppose to be going to a friend's house tonight for a couple of hours to a bonfire, but I'm feeling so guilty about leaving DS (he's only 4 weeks today) I'm thinking about canceling.  I know it would be good for DH and I to get away for a couple of hours, and my mom would be watching LO but I still feel guilty.  WWYD?

    I would go and try it.  If you get there and hang out for 1/2 hour and feel guilty still-then you can always go home, right?

    I had to leave DS while I went grocery shopping too. My mom watched him here at our house but I cried so much when I left, it was the first time leaving his side, but you know what, I realized I needed just that hour away to myself. I say go out with DH you don't have to stay out the 4 hours, maybe you could do 2.

    Go, you deserve a night off. You will recharge your batteries and who better to watch the baby than your mom!

    Thanks ladies.  I'm going to give it a try.  I think I just needed someone else other than DH to tell me it was OK to go away from the baby for a couple of hours.

    DD is 4 weeks today too!

    GO! DH and I went out on a date tonight, dinner and a movie and left DD for about 3 hours and it was so nice to be alone and just talk and enjoy each other. Of course I missed DD, but you need time with your DH also....GL!!
