Now that my baby is finally head down I can feel him butting my cervix (somewhat painfully sometimes). ?I am fairly sure he hasn't dropped, so if he is already at my cervix, how can he go down further?

Re: ok, this is a possibly stupid question, but...
FWIW... I don't think it was a stupid question. Lots of us wonder things, I have definitely had the same thought.
please don't think that was me - I don't star posts!!!
Ok, I I thought maybe it had something to do with effacement, but I haven't seen women say how effaced they were when their baby dropped. (if they even know)
?
I don't think it was you:) ?I never bother either.?
I thought this post was helpful. Sometimes I need it in simple terms.
Soooooo FU 1 star bandit..

OOO I must look for these photos. ?I did read that the baby putting pressure on the cervix helps you to efface, so I am hoping that something will start progressing by my next appt. ?LO was sideways and I am figuring that may be why my cervix is still doing nothing.?
