Can you recommend the best bottles to avoid nipple confusion? I just finished the big stuff on my registry and want to add bottles, nipples, pacifiers, etc.?

my recommendation would be to not put bottles (or diapers) on your registry. I made that mistake, got a ton of Dr. Browns and then DS hated them!!!! I have no idea where some came from so I cant return them.
I also have a basket full of different bottles because DS was so picky. And I like that I got a bunch of different types of diapers to try out and see what worked.
That being said I have heard good things about the "breastflow" bottles.
But, my LC told me, you want anything the shape of those nipples, and never use the pacifiers with the flat side because it causes serious nipple confusion.
I haven't had a problem with nipple confusion. LO has taken a bottle since week 1 and has always used a paci. I use Medela bottles/nipples and a random assortment of pacis.
I did not give LO a bottle until he was seven weeks old and when the time came he got a Dr Brown's bottle. As another poster identified I would not register for a ton of bottles, pacifiers, nipples, etc. We have purchased EVERY pacifier at Buy Buy Baby, Target, and Babies R Us and LO will not take one. Caution with registering for diapers as well as we we tried three different brands before finding one that worked for our LO.

DD will take anything but loves the soothie bottle nipples and playtex nipples, but she will eat out of anything
Avent = fail
Dr. Brown = fail.
Playtex Advanced (wide nipple) = semi success.
Breastflow by First Years = huge success!
