So I just got back from the doctor, and the appointment did not bear good news. I first peed in a cup, and then he took my BP and it was 145/90. He said that wasn't catastrophic, but it wasn't good, either. He had me lay on my left side, and after 10 minutes, it did go down, but not by very much.
He told me that I was heading toward having pre-e very quickly. l had a lot of protein in my urine, the high BP and the headache for the last three days. So he also took my blood and wants me to come in to get my BP checked tomorrow, too. He will give me the results of the bloodwork tomorrow but he said that if the bloodwork is abnormal, I am being sent to L&D immediately.
I was too shocked to ask if it was for good or just for monitoring if I do have to go. I was told to call if anything was abnormal (any more swelling than I have, my headache gets worse, any bleeding, cramping, etc.)
So I could really use some P&PT. I am just upset that this is happening again and even sooner than it did with DD.
Re: Well that dr appt didn't go well :(
Oh no!! I really hope you can keep baby in there cooking a little bit longer.
Please update us tomorrow. Do you have a labor buddy?
I'm sending you low bp and good b/w dust.
Big hugs and prayers!
Oh no! I'm so sorry.
I hope that it's somehow just a false alarm. P&PT headed your way.
I could have written this post! I am in the same boat right now, and I'm going in tomorrow to have my blood drawn/turn in my 24 hour urine. My BP is right where yours is and my swelling is just awful.
Good luck to us both!!
I'm sorry :-( I hope your pre-e takes a chill for at least a couple more weeks.
T&P are with you!
I'm sorry! I had the same bp today and I am terrified since obviously we still have a long way to go. And this was a follow up check from Monday.
So I am getting my own monitoring machine for our house to see if it's just higher at the doctors or if it's an early sign of pre-e. If it's possibly pre-e I will be pulled out of work and put on bedrest, ugh.
(((big hugs))) and a prayer that your LO can stay in for a few more weeks.
With Ri, I had the swelling and semi-high BP from 32 weeks on, but it got REALLY bad at 37 weeks. I was hoping to hold this one off, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Boo!
