I have never seen this nurse practitioner before. She is new and she looks and talks like she is about 16.
I got a weight speech. According to their records I have gained 15lbs. In reality (do to the initial weight I gave them being from my home scale and WRONG) I have gained 8.(I started heavy...)
I don't mind talking about weight but could you please talk to me like I am an adult w/ an IQ over 50?
Regarding the protein in the urine. I posted that I had +1. I have been having a really hard time with this. Crying. Going through worst case scenarios in my head etc. I have had headaches for 2 weeks, pain in my upper right abdomen and no elevated BP (my ray of hope). I asked the NP if the elevated protein could be from diet. For some reason it had a been a steak week and I had had steak for dinner (no other meal) several times in a row which is abnormal for me. She said no. I guess I should have made my question broader. It looks like there ARE other things that could cause protein in my urine. She was so adament that it could not be from diet that I figured the only thing it pointed to was Pre-E. Ugh. Couldn't she have said "Pre-E or dehydration or GD or..."
On top of that, when I asked her about the protein and said I had had steak at several meals (again - abnormal) she proceeded to tell me "well, you really should be incorporating more fruits, veggies and starches...." DUH! What do you think I eat the rest of the time? Chicken?
So, I am rather pissed and still a bit worried but feeling a little better. Thank you for all who responded to my previous post.
Re: I don't like the nurse practitioner. Re- Pre E scare
Or change the last character in that code from > to ] and take out all spaces.
