Post for the bored. Who here is actually not a kid person? Also, what kinds of kids annoy you?

In all honesty, as much as i love having kids and how much i LOVE babies, I dont consider myself a kid person. I am not the one always playing with kids at get togethers or wanting to be around a bunch of kids. If they are not my own or very little, Im not too interested.

What type of kids annoy me? Whiny, clingy kids or kids that scream and act bratty and parents do nothing

Same here, and DH's family is always like a 3 ring circus, with all the kids screaming and running around. I just retire to my room with a book if I start to get a headache.

I consider myself a NB - 2yr old kid person, once they start talking back and having attidue I have issues.

I am actually not a baby person. I am certain that I will love and adore my own child, but I have no interest in other people's babies until they are walking and talking. I find it super annoying when people think that because you're pregnant they should shove random babies at you to hold (I've had this happen at parties).

I find all of my cousin's 3 children adorable, but i am generally not a "kid" person. Maybe it's just because I'm low-energy and can't keep up with them, haha!

I absolutely LOVE DD, and will of course love LO. But I am not good with other peoples' kids. I have never been the type to play well with kids and really (like you) can't stand kids that misbehave around their seemingly oblivious parents (an attentive parent in this situation is okay - some kids just have meltdowns). I so wish that I could be more of a kid person - but it is just not who I am.

Don't get me wrong either, I am a good mom and parent in my own way. Smile

I am not a kid person at ALL. They scare me. I don't know what to do around them. Once in a great while, I will come across a child that appeals to me but it's rare.

Ditto. I love my kid but can't stand everybody else's!

I am NOT a kid person! I hate baby sitting and at times I do not enjoy my neices and nephew but I am sooooo excited to have my own little one!!!

I can't stand screaming, bratty lying children!

i want to make a shirt that says "just because im pregnant, doesnt mean i like kids" because for some reason everyone wants me to hold their baby or talk to their kid, etc etc.

i just want my own, thanks.

I'm definitely not a kid person, and never have been. They're ok for a few minutes but that's it. Annoying kids annoy me Stick out tongue

.I also think that even once I have my baby, I'll probably still feel the same way about other kids.

I hope to become a kid person! Right now, I don't know what to do with kids, or how to talk to them... I'm not around them very much.

I'm not a kid person at all! however I have always known I wanted to have my own children. While we were house shopping our realtor kept showing us houses next to elementary schools, and what not and I was just like " I hate the sound of a lot of kids playing, I would rather live next to 15 barking chiwawa's"

However i can not wait to have my own child and play with him, but we probably won't the the "hang out" house for all the after school kids whose parents work.

I have never really liked babies or children up until about 5-7 years old. Once they are elem school age, I LOVE them. I have started loving babies and toddlers lately though!

If they aren't related to me in a way, I usually can't stand kids, lol. I hate the bratty ones whose parents do nothing, that's mostly a parenting issue not the kids, but man, it drives me batty!

I don't like babies and I really don't like kids. I didn't even like kids when I was one, and didn't do the babysitting thing. I wasn't going to have kids but DH wants two kids so we are having kids I'm sure I will love my own but I'm not into kids at all.
