Wide crib=no mobile?

My crib has very wide rails so I haven't been able to find a mobile that fits.  Does anyone else have this problem or am I just not looking hard enough?  She has a music soother in there and it was a PITA (pain in the @$$) to get on because of the top rails.

    we ended up suspending ours from the ceiling.

    we had to put his mobile (FH rainforest soother) on the slats which hits the mattress inside in his crib).  He can actually turn it on and off himelf now, it seems to be working...

    We have this problem.  We have no mobile, but we put a soother in the side of his crib and lay him down at a little angle so that when he puts his head up, he can see it.  Something we wish we would have known when we bought this beautiful crib...

     Yup this is the one we have too.  It's the only one I could get to fit on the crib.

    I even called Fisher-price to complain - during my last week being PG I spent time putting another FP mobile together just to find out it didn't fit on our crib.  The store I brought it at wouldn't take it back since I put it together and it wasn't in the box. But, there was no way I couldn't take it apart since some of the pieces snapped together.  They really should put on the box that it doesn't fit all cribs.

    Thank you!  DD's room is butterflies and the mobile for her bedding doesn't fit.  My MIL wanted to get a butterfly chandelier for DD's room and I was like "um no" and she was bummed.  I can justify to her that butterflies live in the rainforest.  Stick out tongue

    (I didn't set up the room until after DD was born because of superstition and I was on Team Green so now I am having real fun!)

    Target has it!  ROAD TRIP!
