Success after IF

I sleep only 2 hours last night. Ugh

I am so tired. I know, all the new Moms saying, yeah. whatever. But I have had about 10 days of sleep deprivation and I am feeling it. I am unable to sleep. I have always had chronic insomnia, but since E, I have been able to sleep... not lately.

last night was a combination of things. I wanted so badly to sleep and I tossed and turned a bit, then my wrists hurt (yup, seems I have carpal tunnel, so maybe the laptop balanced on the arm of my chair is a bad idea) and I had to run to the bathroom every 12.4 minutes (due to metformin, which I took for YEARS and had overcome all the side effects, but then I stopped.. and long story, but I am trying to get back to a 2550 dose)

Ugh. I am so tired and when E goes to take his nap in 30 min, I am SO taking one myself!

  • Oh no, I hope you are able to get a nap in! Good luck!

  • I feel for you.  I have sleep issues as well and cannot go to sleep on my own without my Melatonin.  This last week the little dude has been getting up every three hours and it has taken me back to those long nights when he was an infant.  Sleep deprivation is sleep deprivation no matter what the reason or age of your child.  I hope you get a really good nap in when E goes down
  • I think sleep deprivation is worse when you don't have a newborn.  You almost expect that you should be able to sleep and its more frustrating when you can't!  I hope you get a good snooze in this morning!

  • is there anything you can take to help you sleep?  i've heard of people drinking warm milk with honey in it.  sounds gross to me, but i've heard it works.

i hope you get your nap today!

  • I think it's different when you get used to sleep and then it gets taken away from you.  Yes us new mommies are up a lot but it's expected...when you have your sleep stolen from you it's not fair.

Can you take something, just to help you get one good night's sleep?  Even if it's just a benadryl....

    Enjoy your nap!
