Clogged milk duct? TMI

I have been pumping for the past 4 weeks to build up my milk supple and today my breast is sore.  It feels like a clogged milk duct but I am not sure.  Has anyone had this problem and if so what did it feel like?  What did you do to remedy the problem?? Any help is greatly appreciated!! TIA!

    I get them.

    ?If you can get your lo to nurse that boob that really is the best. Hot compress and then pump but make sure to massage down the boob while it is pumping - kinda like compression. I find using my fist and pressing my knuckles into the blocked areas helps the most. You know you've done it right when your boob feels spongy afterward. Your production on that side can dip for a few days don't be alarmed though.

    I've managed to get Luke to nurse that boob every time it's happened and I feel better almost within the hour.

    Ibuprofen also helps.?

    OH and I get them when I've missed pumping. I pump every 3-4 hours all day long to just make enough for Luke to eat. He's a freakin eating machine. I can't even imagine being able to store anything.

    I also get them (had two so far) and yes pumping/nursing on the clogged breast is the only way I could find relief, I also would take a hot shower and massage it at the same time and that helped.

    Another tip I learned today that wearing a sports bra and pulling it up to nurse or pump is not helpful. I am pretty sure that is what caused mine today, so best bet is to wear your nursing bra ALL the time!
