s/o chicken pox

Random, but my great-aunt lived her entire life never getting the chicken pox. She had 4 children who all had it and she never got it. When she told her doctor this when she was in the hospital they took her blood and said that her blood showed that she had in fact either had the pox or had immunity to it.

    some people get very very mild cases that never show symptoms...magic vaccine :-)

    (which is why people like me end up with it twice...first case = very mild.  Second case = got them inside my throat and between my toes...)

    That's awesome!

    I have a scar between my left eye and eyebrow that is the result of chicken pox.  So I wasn't as lucky as your aunt.

    My grandma never got them either, and she took care of me and my four cousins when we all had it.

    I had a mild case when I was really little, like prior to kindergarden.  Then I got it again about the 5th grade.  Not too bad though. 

    Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.

    some people can also have natural immunity. They just luck out in that case. i had a friend in nursing school who had never had it, but when the drew her titer to make sure she had strong immunity.

    Both my brother and I got the pox on a family road trip to AZ. We both had mild cases, so it wasn't so bad.
