This is one that i consider COMPLETELY unisex...doesn't lean more one way than another for me. We had 2 boys named Jordan in 3rd grade last year and we have 2 boys named Jordan coming up- though I have taught several girls w/ that name.
As a teacher, I find this name to be totally unisex. And popular. I have had a lot of boy Jordans/Jordens and a lot of girl ones as well. Currently, I have a Jordyn and a Jordan (both girls) and the only good thing about the two spellings is telling them apart more easily. But I don't like it.
Re: For a boy or a girl?
Girl. The other day I saw it spelled Jordon, and I thought that was a good spelling for a boy.
I think:
girl = Jordyn
boy = Jordan
this. and I love it for both!!!
Please say no to unnecessary "y".
I definitely think Jordan is unisex. I know both girls and guys with this name using the traditional spelling.
Just say no to Jordyn! LOL
