Sprained my ankle, pity party inside

I tripped over a curb last night, at Kaiser no less, but a location that doesn't have an ER or MI Clinic.  Rolled my ankle which immediately blew up like a balloon and turned black and blue.  Off to the ER I went.  Luckily it's only sprained, so no cast, but OMG it hurts!  To top it off, I'm getting over a cold.

I look sooo great at work today.  Crutches on one side of my desk, my foot up on the other side of my desk, a pool of water from my ice pack on the floor and a box of kleenex in the middle of it all.

This sucks.

    That does suck :-( I'm so sorry.

    Sometimes a sprain is worse than a break.

    Ouch!! I'm so sorry. I did almost this exact same thing a few years ago. You're lucky though. I wound up twisting my ankle so far over, it snapped a bone in my foot. I had to have surgery to have a pin placed to keep my foot together. I was in a cast for six weeks. Sorry, not trying to steal your pity party.

    Crutches suck hardcore and especially when you have to have them at work. I hope you heal quickly and you're off of them soon!!!

    Sally, you description of you at work made me LOL, you sound like me a few weeks ago when we had swine flu and Riley was teething. I hope the cold is minor and goes away fast.
