Do you have good posture?

*and this is definitely one start worthy**

So for over a week now I have worked really hard on having good posture and it's a lot harder than it looks if you've never really worked on it. Every morning I wake up and there is a dull pain between my shoulder pains. The good news is that it's getting painful to slouch too so hopefully I've broken that bad habit.

So are you sitting up straight right now?

Re: Do you have good posture?

  • yes I try too and I've started pushing B's back up already so she gets used to it.

My aunt used to harass me about this as well as holding my belly in and its stuck with me (granted I was like 6 then).

  • Yes.  My grandmother always slouched, and it looked awful.  I was very aware of it because of that, and if I slacked off my mother usually poked me in the back.

I have huge boobs for my frame.  If I had bad posture they would appear to be hanging around my waist, which thankfully they are not.

  • Probably not because it just makes my boobies stick out farther.  I have noticed though that when my core is stronger I have much better posture.

  • No I have absolutely horrible posture.  It's a product of being a d-cup as a 13 year old girl.

I can't wait until I get a breast reduction; hopefully soon.

  • I think my boobs have a lot to do with why I slouched too. I have a pretty small frame but my boobs are a 34D and when I sit properly it makes me feel like I am pushing them out. But I like the point that that is better than them looking like they are down by my waist.
  • That's why my grandmother slouched, she was trying to hde her boobs.
  • Yep, I am really narrow shouldered, which makes my boobs look even bigger, I think.

I know it probably looks worse, but it's hard to overcome.  I started hunching once I developed b/c I developed quickly over the summer and all the boys in my class kept asking me if I stuffed my bra.  It was MORTIFYING.

I have some back problems too so I do plan on a breast reduction in the near future.  Right after I had Jackson I had a an x-ray of my spine and there's a lot of degeneration on my vertabrae.  I just need to decide whether to do it now, before we have more kids and potentially have to have it done again.  I lean that way just because we might have 2 more kids and I don't know if I want to wait several more years to have the surgery...
