Just wondering if anyone is experiencing anything similiar... for the past two or three weeks, I have been waking up, like clockwork, around 3 am EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Sometimes I have to go to the bathroom, but mostly I just roll over, look at the clock, and then toss and turn for anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours, trying to fall back asleep. I can't get comfortable and I can't put my mind to rest. It's making for miserable mornings, because when I finally do get back to sleep, my alarm is blaring at me at 7:30 and all hope is lost, and I go to work even more exhausted than normal. My MIL joked that this could just be nature's way of preparing me for the baby... but if that's true, it's cruel, because now is when I really WANT to be getting as much sleep as I can. I have my next appointment on Monday, so I'm hoping I can ask my OB if she has any recommendations (though I'm assuming Lunesta is out of the question at this point in the pregnancy...)
Anyone else having troubles like this? If so, what are your solutions?
Re: Can't sleep through the night... help!
I don't have any suggestions for how to help, but just wanted to tell you that I have been going through the exact same thing for the past few weeks. It's not fun at all. It's one thing to have to get up and pee, but, like you said, a lot of the time, I'm just waking up and laying there restless. Hopefully we can get some sleep soon!
I had the SAME thing happen before I started getting up 3x/night like clockwork to go pee = ) Its gets worse!
But I know where you are coming from......I would wake up for NO reason just to lay there....I felt wide awake too. I was even taking Unisom & it would still happen. I think it totally normal. Try benedryl too that might help = ) good luck!
