Hi Ladies,
For the last few days I have been at my wits end in trying to decide an OB/GYN - I did not like my own after realizing in May she had no bedside manner at all. I didn't need to make a decision until I found out this past weekend that I am pregnant. I am about 5 weeks along (tomorrow) after having gone to my general doctor today but of course I need to decide on an OB/GYN soon since I'll need to start pre-natal care. I have started on pre-natal vitamins, though.
I appreciate your thoughts and any advice you may provide be that from the doctors listed above or any others in NYC...And whether NY Pres was a good choice.
Thanks,
-V
Re: Any thoughts on Geeta Sharma or Allison Boester?
I love the ob/gyn's at Eastside WOmen's Ob/gyn. ?They are an all-female practice (4 physicians), and deliver at Mt. Sinai. ?They have amazing bedside bedside manners, and I never have to wait long. ?They promptly return all of my phone calls & emails. ?I especially like Dr. Goldstein & Brightman.
A problem with a lot of OB/gyn's in NYC is that you may love them, but when you deliver they are on call with someone else, on vacation, etc & you end up having a stranger deliver you. ?At eastside, they rotate you with each of the Dr.'s so that you feel comfortable with all of them in case one has to step in & do the delivery.
?
Hope this helps!?

One of my friends is going to G. Sharma currently and really likes her. I'm not sure if she is part of a group. Another friend went to Dr Boester's practice but she did not deliver her baby in the end, however she really did like Dr Boester and most of the other doctors in that practice.
NY Pres is a great choice!
Two friends have delivered with Dr Adler's group and they liked them but they are out of Mt Sinai

Good luck! I know how hard it is to right a good fit!
