I think we're in trouble. In just this past week, we have caught him fake crying several times. You know, where he cries about something, then stops when he thinks you aren't looking, then starts up again when you are. Yeah, he did a really obvious one the other day. It was all DH & I could do not to bust out laughing.
Then today, we were playing and he was cracking up because I was making these little rubber animals that he loves "jump" overboard into the toy bin. It was a hilarious, full on belly laugh. Then, a few minutes later, when he had moved on to something else, no longer laughing, he'd stop playing and then try to start laughing again. Like he was trying to make himself feel how he felt when he was laughing before? Make sense?
It must be a development for this age, guess I should check the books. Just wondering if this is common with anyone else?
Re: fake cry/fake laugh--anyone else?
Throwing leaves
OH yes. All the time.
Arent they so freaking adorable!! It cracks me up how they try to manipulate us already at such a young age!! They are so smart!
Yes. We fake laugh in the car together, on the way home from DCP. I start w/ a big "HA HA HA" and she mimics me. So funny.
If I say "Are you okay?!" she'll come running, whining, and then when I pick her up, she'll bury her head in my shoulder. Then look up and laugh. I say it again, she bury's her head again and whines... Too smart!
