Anyone else waiting until baby is 2 or 3 to TTC?

Even though I get the baby fever from time to time, I still would like to wait to TTC until next summer or even the summer after. I am finally feeling and looking like my old self again and also, financially it would probably be best to wait awhile.

Both DH and I would be fine to TTC soon, but financially, I think we'll wait a while.

We were going to TTC this time next year, when DD is about 19-20 months old, but my school plans have changed, and we will likely be TTC at the end of next year or the beginning of 2011 at the earliest.

We're not going to talk about #2 until the end of next year. DS will have been two for 4 months at that point.

We are waiting and right now our plan is to get pregnant and have baby number too when DS is at least 2 years old, we would like him to be more around 2 and half when baby two is here.

However, it also depends on how we are as far as money goes. DH would need to get a raise in the next year and I would like one as well. ?

We were going to start Trying when DD was 18 months now with DH Getting his CNA and starting His nursing program Next fall we may wait longer. We will have to see how well the CNA job he gets will pay, some are a crappy $12/Hr but some pay up to $20 and he has experience with patient care as an EMT/Paramedic.

yes, we're waiting until she turns 2. From what I've read, the ideal spacing for children is 2.5-3 years. Plus I just want to enjoy her as a baby/young toddler before adding a sibling into the mix. PLUS we'd like to move in the next 3-4 years, so I'd like to be closer to that goal by the time we have another one.

I'd like to wait until the end of next summer....but since we're practicing the POAP method - I am not sure how reliable that is!!

Right now we don't have the space or money! Ideally I'd like to start TTC when DD is 3. We might have to wait even longer....

We are. I really think for us it will be easier to wait for DD to get out of diapers before we think about #2. I want them close just not THAT close. DH and I work and my mom watches DD part time and I don't expect her to spend her retirement keeping 2 under 2.

I want to be done by 35 though and we may have 3 so I don't want to wait too long. I have 4 years till 35.

I definitely want to wait, for many reasons. First, I want to get healthy and in shape before I get pregnant again. I heard from a lot of people that it's easier to get back in shape after if you're in shape before. I believe that more than ever now. Also, I never thought of myself as a good person to have 2 under 2, or even 2 under 3. My younger brothers are 17 months apart and I saw first hand the chaos that comes with that. I have no desire to deal with that. If it happens, of course I will be happy. It's just not ideal for me. Also, we really need a bigger house if we are going to have more children. Our house is already feeling very very cramped, so I couldn't imagine trying to squeeze more baby stuff into it any time soon. If we had it our way, we would start TTC after moving into our new house in a couple years. It's pretty much going to depend on the economy/housing market.

I'm with you. I totally miss being pregnant, etc - but there's really no chance I'd want to have a baby sooner than in 2 - 2.5 years. My brother has 2 under 2, and.. well, let's just say I'd rather wait

We're waiting till DD is 2 or right before then if we get anxious! Now that DD is 1, it doesn't seem nearly as far away as it once did!

Me. I would prefer to not have two in diapers and want DS to be a little more independent before bringing in another baby. I just want to be able to enjoy the stages a little bit.

Yup I'm waiting til DS is probably 2 1/2 - 3 to TTC. I want to finish nursing school first and honestly, DS is such a hard hard baby that I need time to recover first :P

We have no plans but we both know we want some time before TTC again! Maybe a few years...we'll see what happens...
