Directions 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. 3 In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage in oil until browned on both sides, 5 minutes. 4 In a large bowl, combine ziti, sausage, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, parsley and pepper. Mix well. Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and top with shredded cheese. 5 Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 to 15 minutes more, until top is golden.

I usually make mine with bow tie pasta and red & green peppers. I want something different.
DH's mom fries 'salt pork' (a big block of pig fat) and onion and then adds a bag of saurcraut and adds the kielbasa.

this is a HUGE hit with DS and DH.
