Any recipes for Polish Kielbasa?

I have some I want to make tonight. Any ideas?

  • I guess I'm boring b/c I always just boiled mine and served it with something like mac and cheese. mmmmmm now I'm craving it! I love it!

    I usually make mine with bow tie pasta and red & green peppers. I want something different.

  • I mix mine with tomato sauce and penne.  I pan-fry the kielbasa and then mix it with tomato sauce and put some spices in the sauce.

  • I brown mine, then throw it in the slowcooker w/ potatoes, cabbage, and carrots.
  • we grill ours and put it on hamburger buns with mustard.  yummy.  just like linguica!!! 
  • DH's mom fries 'salt pork' (a big block of pig fat) and onion and then adds a bag of saurcraut and adds the kielbasa.

    I use a can of corn and a can of green beans instead of the frozen veggies though. :) this is a HUGE hit with DS and DH.

    Kielbasa Pasta Casserole
     Prep Time:  approx. 15 Minutes.
    Cook Time: approx. 45 Minutes. Ready in:
       approx. 1 Hour . Makes 1 - 9x13 dish (8 servings).

    16 ounces dry ziti pasta
    1 pound Polish sausage,
       sliced diagonally
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    3 (14.5 ounce) cans
       Italian-style stewed tomatoes
    3 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
     1 teaspoon dried oregano (add more next time)
    1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/4 cup Italian-style dry
       bread crumbs
    8 ounces shredded Monterey
       Jack cheese
     

    Directions
    1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
       Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    3 In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage
       in oil until browned on both sides, 5 minutes.
    4 In a large bowl, combine ziti, sausage, stewed
       tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, parsley and pepper. Mix well.
       Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and
       top with shredded cheese.
    5 Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven 30 minutes.
       Remove foil and bake 10 to 15 minutes more, until top is golden.
