LO hits himself

It's the weirdest thing!! If he is laying down he will just go to town smackig his belly and thighs. It doesn't seem to hurt him... At first I was really worried and thought he was overstimulated or something. But now its kind of funny. And he laughs at me when I hold his arms to keep him from doing it. Very strange...

Anyone else's LO do this??

    No, but DS punches me in the boob when he's eating.  I guess he's tenderizing his meal, LOL.  Sometimes he smacks himself in the face accidentally, and then looks at me like I did it.

    DS does this when he gets excited. It cracks me up. I wondered the same thing, about it hurting him, because when I imitate him, it hurts me! But he just smiles and smiles.

    DS does this now that he plays with toys.  always smacking himself in the face, arms, and legs with his keys and Mr. Turtle.

    My LO doesn't hit herself, but last night she grabbed on to her own hair and pulled so hard that she started screaming.  (obviously I ran to her and made her let go!)  It was the craziest thing ever!  Now she knows how I feel when she pulls my hair ALL the time!  lol

    DS does this all the time. We call him karate man with all his chops! He occasionally gets himself in the eye and cries about it. I feel awful when he does that!

    Our LO does this all the time and then looks around like "where did that come from?"

    So funny you asked this - my son does it all the time now.  Agree with pp about him looking around like, "WTF was that?!"  I had the same fear about him being overstimulated and actually asked a similar question this morning.  I'm so glad our weird little babies are "normal" - whatever that is!

    Oh, it's really funny when he gets a tiny little finger stuck way up in his nose and then looks all pissed off about it.
