I need help. I really need DD to start sleeping, it's the root of all our problems. She doesn't nap and she keeps waking up earlier and earlier, not to mention how hard it is to get her to go to sleep.
If you have sleep trained what method did you use? What is your schedule like? I will appreciate ANY advice you can give me. TIA
Re: If you have tried sleep training.
She's not on a schedule per say for naps but everything has fallen into place. She takes three naps a day and is usually up for two hours (maybe more) inbetween naps and naps for about 1-2 hours. She's usually up by 5:30/6 am and is in bed by 7-8 pm. Good luck! Again, it was REALLY hard but so worth it.

I did a modified Ferber and it too changed my life. I also liked the sleep easy solution- I would read both.
I also think that is the root of all your problems. I think it will make a HUGE difference for you once she starts sleeping better.
DD STTN 11-12 hours. Usually 7:30-6:30. She takes 2 naps (morning and afternoon). First nap is usually around 9-10:30 or 11. Second nap is usually around 2-3:30 or 4.

We did CIO at five months. It was very hard, but really only took one night. That first night, DD cried for about 40 minutes before falling asleep. Since then she very rarely cries at night, but when she does it is for 10 minutes max. She goes to sleep at 7 at night and usually wakes at 7 in the morning, with one feeding around 3.
Naps have been a bit more difficult, but they are getting better, too.
I read Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems by Ferber, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Weissbluth, and the sleep chapter in Dr. Sears' The Baby Book before deciding on CIO.
