2nd Trimester

Does anyone watch Kendra's show? Question...

?I happen to catch her show and knew she is due around Christmas time. In this episode she said she was 4 1/2 months pregnant and her husband could feel the baby kick! "All the time." Is that even possible that early for someone else to feel the kicks? I was a bit jealous since I'm due 2 weeks after her, who knows when that was filmed, and I have felt nothing yet...let alone my husband! I changed the channel...lol.?

Re: Does anyone watch Kendra's show? Question...

  • No, it is not the norm at 20w for your DH to feel outside kicks- for many first pgcy's, movement isn't even felt until then. You'll feel kicks soon enough, and so will your hubby and all will be good!

  • i'd say unusual, but she is so dang tiny that perhaps that is what makes the difference.   i kind of like her show.  her hubby is a sweetie.   totally cried during the wedding episode.  who knew she was so girly girl.
  • My husband could feel some kicks (only the hardest ones) from the outside right around 20/21 weeks, but that is not the norm.  Everyone is different, dont let it get to you.

  • Knowing Kendra, it was probably just wicked gas! I started feeling movement around 18 weeks and this week she is kicking up a storm. DH always misses it though!
  • Kendra is really tiny, so her hubby might be able to feel the baby move by then.  plus it depends a lot on placenta placement...if you have an anterior placenta you feel movement later because it causes more cushioning, if you have a posterior placenta you can feel movement sooner.

Yeah, her show is one of my guilty pleasures. I think they're a real cute couple, he seems like a good guy. ?

LOL- that's what I told myself- he's just feeling gas! Of course, that was only to make myself feel better. ?

    THIS

She is so small that it's quite possible to feel them that early. That's been the case with me with both my pregnancies.

  • would you believe my DH felt the baby kick at 17 weeks? twice in a row! i had been feeling small pokes since 13 weeks (VERY unusual, i know!)
  • I can't watch the show...her laugh makes me cringe.
"Cool as Hell like e-mail, but still timeless like a letter."
  • Not normal but certainly not impossible.  Plus she started the pregnancy really thin with a very small waist... Maybe that had something to do with it - less cushioning and easier to feel.

This.  Or it was just gas.

  • She's pretty small; I think this probably had something to do with it.

FWIW, DH felt the LO kick at the 20 week mark on the dot.  But I'd been consistently (daily) feeling kicks since week 17.

  • I am 19w3d and I can feel some random kicking from the outside, usually when I am laying down relaxing in bed. FI felt him/her once, more like fluttering than an actual kick.?

I am due Jan 2nd and was so excited to hear I was due around the same time as her. We also have our gender screenings on the same day, tomorrow!!?

  • I noticed that too last night.  Really weird but then Bridgett could feel it to?
