My supply has always sucked, but recently it's just really taken a nosedive. Today during 10 hours I only pumped 7oz. 7 measly oz!!! Take away the 1oz for DD's cereal and that leaves me with 6oz to take to daycare tomorrow.
My freezer stash is just about gone and I'm so close to just loosing it. I wanted to nurse DD for so much longer than this but I just don't have the supply for it.
I have tried everything (everything except Reglan) to up my supply and nothing has worked. I just need someone to tell me that any amount of BM is worth it and to just keep at it. I'm going to start mixing formula in as soon as my freezer stash is gone which will be within about 2 weeks.
Just tell me my measly 7oz are worth it. Please.
Re: I need a pep talk.
yes the 7 oz are worth it. You may be getting your period, I always have a lower supply then. You can also try power pumping 10 mins on and off for an hour and see if that tricks your body into making more.
I dont pump, but try and see if you need a new membrane or part. That may be it. You're doing great!!!
Sweetie... sorry to hear about what you are dealing with. #1... YES, any amount of BM is worth it (in my opinion, as long as it's not making you completely crazy... happy mom is worth more). #2... You have done a great job! Your little one is 6 months old! That is wonderful!
I know you said you tried everything to increase your supply. I read something on here last week that I thought was interesting. Drink Malted Milk. You can buy malt powder at the grocery store (next to the chocolate milk). Who knew?
Good luck with everything and know that you have done a great job!

You've done an awesome job to get to 6 months. Some breastmilk is better than none. Pumping is not easy, especially when you have supply issues.
If I were in your shoes, I would continue to pump to keep my supply up enough to continue to nurse when at home and suppliment with formula to make up the difference at daycare. Maybe if you're a little less stressed it will help your supply?
